Lessons & getting started

  • I warmly welcome students of all ages and experience levels, from absolute beginners who have never sung before to advanced vocalists looking to refine their technique or prepare for specific performances. Every lesson is tailored to the individual.

  • Absolutely not! You don't need any prior experience or the ability to read music to start lessons. My philosophy is about meeting you where you are. We'll work on everything you need, from ear training to understanding basic musical concepts, as part of your journey.

  • Yes, absolutely! I truly believe anyone can sing, and the term "tone deaf" often just describes a lack of developed ear-to-voice coordination. This is a skill we can build together! Through dedicated ear training, pitch exercises, and patience, you'll be amazed at the progress you can make in finding and matching pitches.

  • My core belief is that "Singing is Singing is Singing" – meaning good technique is universal. While I specialize in building a strong foundation that supports all genres, I am adept at guiding students through various styles, including Pop, R&B, Musical Theatre, Folk, Jazz, Classical, and Classic Rock. We'll work on applying healthy vocal technique to the music you love.

  • Your first lesson is a chance for us to get to know each other! We'll discuss your musical goals and aspirations, assess your current vocal abilities in a relaxed setting, and do some gentle warm-ups and exercises. It's a low-pressure environment where you can ask questions and experience my teaching style.

  • For online lessons, you'll need a stable internet connection, a quiet space where you can sing freely, and a computer or tablet with a webcam and microphone. If you have an external microphone, I would recommended using that for better audio quality. We'll use Zoom for our sessions.

  • My Group Voice Lessons offer a unique and collaborative way to develop your singing skills alongside others. These sessions are designed for 2 to 4 people whom you bring yourself—whether it's friends, family, or fellow musicians. They're perfect if you're looking to work on duets, learn group songs, practice as an ensemble, or simply enjoy vocal instruction in a supportive, shared environment. In these lessons, we'll build fundamental vocal techniques while also focusing on harmonizing, blending, ensemble skills, and cultivating collective confidence through repertoire that excites your group.
